another good week:) we had zone conference with the president. those are always really fun. President Caetano and his wife are the coolest. also the people in our zone are always super funny. Elder Luis from Zimbabwe was shocked to learn that fish can live in the mountains (not sure if he understands what a lake is but oh well) and we learned that elder alves (who is seriously like seven feet tall) loves to bake cakes! he brought us a sample and told us that his life goal is to be on masterchef:) 

we are teaching TONS of cool people. we barely have time to sleep and eat (which explains the quality of these emails oppa) but I love this area so much. two of our investigators are professional brazilian fighters have agreed to teach me how to fight! Ill keep you posted on who the better fighter is. Also we are teaching Karen! she is seriously so cool. When we teach, you can see it on her face when something makes sense. and she is already giving away her pamphlets to friends. When we went to invite her friend to church, she said `you should come! it will be so cool. ive never been but i know´` hahaha she is so cool.

I love the kids here and my companion and the members! Tudo bem aqui! (also mom insert pictures here pls)

bom dia!! ive made it another week! now is when it gets crazy with portugues bc weve gotta memorize about 80 words a day and 12 phrases. heres something cool! if you didn't know, the sisters in brazil have always been called 'sister tovey' etc bc the nuns are known as the irmas. but starting last week, we will also be called irmas! which is so funny bc all the brazilian people think of nuns when we get called irma lol. but we get our new nametags in the field so that means that my district will be the last people to be called sister if that makes sense! pretty cool.  portuguese is good. someone give senora swartz a hug for me because my spanish is so helpful!!!! im with the sisters in my district all day every day because we also all share a room (which isn't normal) but we are best friends and we have so much fun.  the church is true!

fruit and snails and salvation How was christmas pessoal! Mine was good:) lots of fancy beans and rice and chicken and old ladies that were planning our Christmas since last Christmas haha. I love Vilhena.  My hope for these emails is that they are as honest as possible as you can probably tell haha. But seriously I love the mission. We live off of free food from lunches with members and fruit from the streets. We looove making contacts with the people picking fruit from their yards bc they always give us tons (this week our fridge is full of mangoes, jambu, goiaba, and avocado all free wahooo). As you can tell from the throw-up venture from last week, my companion has been an adventure for sure lol. It´s been raining a TON here which means the giant snails come out to hang (seriously like as big as my foot). Every day we eat lunch with the members which is AMAZING. usually we drink what´s called Tereré which is an herb and everyone shares the same straw oxe. my favorit...

Hi world ive got a new companion - Im training Sister Cruz from Argentina. she already had her first meltdown so seems like we are on the right track! Still in Vilhena which I am soo happy about.
